Community Outreach

As a church, we aspire to serve others in need in our community. In 2016, Pastor Christopher collaborated Saddle Brook Mayor Robert White to found the Saddle Brook Community Partnership. This partnership, consisting of community members and representatives from various organizations and businesses, has a phone hotline (201-587-2912) and a help button on the Township website (saddlebrooknj.us) for those who are in need of services. This group was formed to reach out to those in need in the community.

The First Reformed Church houses the Saddle Brook Community Food Pantry downstairs by the Van Wyk Fellowship Hall. The Saddle Brook Community Food Pantry is open on the third Saturday fo every month. If you need assistance, or would like to donate to the food pantry, please send an email to sbfoodpantry@gmail.com

Pastor Christopher has initiated a grief support group called Saddle Brook Hope and is leading an effort to care for young people working with Father Bruce at St. Philip’s. In addition, Pastor Christopher is involved in community events throughout the year and often meets with and ministers to residents in crisis.
