Community Outreach

As a church, we aspire to serve others in need in our community. In 2015, Pastor Christopher collaborated with Saddle Brook Mayor Robert White to found the Saddle Brook Community Partnership. This partnership, consisting of community members and representatives from various organizations and businesses, has a phone hotline (201-587-2912) and a help button on the Township website (saddlebrooknj.us) for those who are in need of services. This group was formed to reach out to those in need in the community. Pastor Christopher served as its moderator until concluding his pastorate with us in 2024. Church member Thomas Van Winkle currently serves as Chairperson of the Saddle Brook Community Partnership.

The First Reformed Church houses the Saddle Brook Community Food Pantry downstairs by the Van Wyk Fellowship Hall. The Saddle Brook Community Food Pantry is open on the third Saturday of every month. Donations of nonperishable food items can be left in the donation boxes at the Saddle Brook Municipal Complex Recreation Center (55 Mayhill Street Saddle Brook, NJ) or Saddle Brook Free Public Library (340 Mayhill Street Saddle Brook, NJ)

For more information about the food pantry or if you need food assistance, please contact our church office at 201-843-6672.
